Natalie & Dan's Owen House Wedding Barn, Cheshire, Wedding Photography Blog.

From what had been a long time in the planning, Natalie & Dan's big day was finally here. It seems such a long time ago since Natalie & Dan came to our Elsecar studio and booked with us. From the start they were and have been fantastic to work with, sharing their ideas and keeping us up to date with new developments.

The day had arrived and Natalie & Dan had very kindly booked us a hotel room for the night before as we had an early start so didn't like to risk the travel over. We arrived at Natalie's mums house to smiles and excitement. Natalie's bridesmaids were having their hair and make-up done as we were shown to the most amazing room for some detail shots of the dress and shoes.

After getting all the images we needed we had to shoot straight over to the Owen House Wedding Barn to meet with Dan and his best men which was around 20 minutes away.

We first met with Dan who was just about ready with 3 shots of Japanese whisky to start the days celebrations and his gift of a pocket watch each for his best men. This was our first meeting with his groomsmen but we knew they would be ace and willing to help us through the day.

As guests were being ushered into the barn ceremony room, Natalie wasn't far behind in the most beautiful car flanked by her girls, mum and dad.

The ceremony was fantastic and also was followed by a blessing before we all gathered in a back quirky undercover barn for their group shots. Until this point the weather had been pretty bad with rain most of the day but the clouds started to clear and made way for some amazing sun shots which Natalie & Dan were total naturals.

After their wedding breakfast and speeches the rest of the evening followed with more fun, a pizza cart, hotdog caravan and an amazing band who got everyone dancing.

We just want to say what a fantastic day we had and again how brilliant their friends and family were with us.

Massive congratulations to you both.

Holly & John's Bempton Church / Sledmere House Wedding Photography Blog.

Holly & John's Bempton Church / Sledmere House Wedding Photography Blog.

We first met Holly & John last year when they visited our Elsecar Heritage Centre studio to discuss more about their big day. We instantly hit it off and knew we would be great to shoot their day and when they confirmed we were pretty excited. Their wedding was to take place at Bempton Church in East Yorkshire then a trip to the beach on the north side of Bridlington and to finally finish at Sledmere House in Driffield, East Yorkshire.

Their date soon came around and we found ourselves round at Holly's parents house in Bempton getting ready for the bridal preps. As we arrived we had a great welcome from both Holly, her bridesmaids and parents which was great and put us totally at ease. Everyone was in great spirits and no nerves seemed to be showing at all.

We manage to take Holly's dress and the bridesmaids dresses outside and hung them on a tree to get some super cool shots as well as some hair and make-up shots inside the house. After making sure we had all the shots we needed it was time to drive the short distance (about 20 seconds) to Bempton Church to get some groom photography.

As with the girls, John and his groomsmen were as cool as anything and ready for ceremony to get started. We managed to get some great shots of the boys and guest arrivals while we waited for Holly to arrive.

The ceremony went perfectly and as we had probably the most beautiful sunny day of the year we cracked on with the group images and headed down the north side of Bridlington to make the most of an amazing beach shoot.

Once there we were told about the most amazing colourful beach huts we could incorporate into our shots as well as sea and beautiful surroundings. After numerous jumping, running and cool shots in front of the huts we needed to head over to Sledmere House front for a couple more shots then fish and chips for their wedding breakfast.

As always Sledmere House looked stunning and Holly & John had made the barn look amazing. The evening went into full swing and with an arrival of more evening guests it was sure to be an amazing night.

We left Holly & John late in the night in knowledge that we had some amazing wedding photography for them and we can't thank them enough for making us feel so welcome all day. Their family & friends were amazing and added to what was a fantastic day.

Big big thanks again and a massive congratulations.

Our Quaint Little Elsecar Heritage Centre Studio. BLOG.

Our Quaint Little Elsecar Heritage Centre Studio. BLOG.

So we thought after being in our new{ish} office/studio since June last year we'd better show it off a little. Especially as we've now fully finished decorating and adding our stamp to the place. We really do feel like we've fallen on our feet by getting hold of this studio which really gives off the vibe we've always wanted which also matches our photography. This means style, quality and giving our bride and grooms peace of mind that they know they can always find us to discuss their day.

The building is 200 years old and has been fully refurbished giving Elsecar Heritage Centre an added wow factor to its already amazing surroundings. Elsecar Heritage Centre lies in the heart of Elsecar village which is conveniently accessible from the M1 junction 35 or 36. The Heritage Centre has the added bonus of 2 large car parks which attracts many visitors all through the week to the many shops and cafes. Elsecar Heritage Centre hosts regular antique and craft fayres which are extremely popular and create a real buzz around the place.

After moving here in June we have been warmly greeted by our surrounding businesses which have made us feel right at home.

Above our studio in the eves of the building is our very good friends The White Yard Bridal Boutique. This spacious boutique stocks everything from designer dresses, veils, shoes, tiara's and the most stylish and modern selection of mens wear. Click here to contact.

Below here are our next-door neighbours, Rejuven8. This beauty clinic offers a wide range of treatments from skin care, nails and non surgical treatments. Click here to contact.

We have already hosted many bride and groom meetings in our studio where we can showcase a selection of our wedding photography and wedding albums. Our walls are a gallery of some of our much loved and current wedding photography and our table is full of the finest wedding albums in the world supplied by GraphiStudio. These albums are handmade in the hills of Arba Italy and are sure to make your wedding photography stand out from the rest.

You can normally find us editing and generally running our businesses day to day tasks during Monday to Friday unless we are out on a shoot but if you would like to book an appointment please get in touch with the details below and we will be sure to accommodate you wether this be an evening or weekend.

We really have seen the benefit of moving to our new studio which gives our bride and grooms the peace of mind that they have chosen two reliable, local and dedicated photographers. All our clients are met with a welcoming smile and a cuppa tea too! So if you've not yet decided on your wedding photographers please get in touch and book an appointment, you'll not be disappointed.

Big Thanks!!

So, a beautiful winter wedding. Of course and we wouldn't have expected anything less from Katie & Luke. You know that you've got it good when your bride and groom give you pretty much free reign on what you tell them to do and Katie & Luke were up for creating some special shots.

From the moment they booked over a year ago we knew we were going to get on great and have a fantastic time being their wedding photographers!

We started the day in their home town of Retford, Nottinghamshire to shoot the bridal preps. At Katie's parents house we were welcomed in with open arms and set free to get the shots we needed. Katie looked calm as anything and raring to go surrounded with her bridesmaids and family. We did quickly shoot round to Katie & Luke's house where Luke was with his men and also calm as a cucumber whilst they prepared for the day ahead.

We soon left after Katie was ready and we were off to All Hallows Church, Retford, a 13th century church with great character. After a lovely service and group shots outside in the cool crisp winter air it was time to take the 40 minute journey over to Helswell Court in Lincolnshire for their wedding breakfast and evening reception. We had some amazing photographic opportunities around the grounds and just to add to the atmosphere a heavy fog lingered in the air.

The rest of the evening went perfectly as to be expected and we both wish Katie and Luke all the best and a massive congratulations.

Thank you for choosing us to be your wedding photographers.
