Erin & Jason's Whitley Hall, Sheffield Wedding Photography Blog.

Well its the first blog of 2017 and its a beauty.

From the moment of our first meeting through to Erin & Jason's pre-wedding shoot we knew their wedding day was going to be great. A great laid back couple who put the trust in our hands to get them some amazing shots for their day.

We started the bridal preps at Erin's parents house and were met with a warm welcome by all {and a cup of tea} and it was also great to see Sarah & Kirsty, Erin's wedding make-up and hair stylists. The mood was calm but exciting as the bridesmaids and Erin's mum kept Erin's mind occupied through the morning. The lighting outside was soft as it was quite foggy and chilly but gave some fantastic light coming through a large bedroom window. Once we'd made sure we had everything we needed it was time to head over to Whitley Hall to catch up with Jason and his guys.

We arrived and spotted Jason straight away talking with one of his wedding guests. He was in a great mood an no nerves were showing at this moment. We gathered in the garden at the back to get a few shots of the men then waited for the arrival of the bride. Once Erin arrived we were all ushered into the ceremony room to wait for the big event.

As Erin walked down the ceremony room, Jason was already looking back to get his first sight of his wife to be and a big smile came across his face. The ceremony was fantastic with big grins and smiles all around.

After, we left for the gardens to get some family shots and the all important special wedding photography shots of the bride and groom in the beautiful grounds. Although the day was slightly foggy and overcast this gave for some beautiful even lighting which we used to our advantage.

We made sure after their wedding breakfast we were there for the all important speeches which were heartfelt and hilarious at the same time. During this time we also edited a few shots for their evening slideshow which went down a treat.

The rest of the evening went perfect, just how Erin and Jason wanted.

We both want to say a massive thank you to Erin, Jason and their family and friends for making us feel so welcome throughout the day.

Big Congratulations!!!

Lisa & Rob's London Engagement Shoot Blog. Wedding Photography.

Well the time had finally arrived to take a trip down to London for Lisa & Rob's engagement shoot. It had been in the planning for some time and what an opportunity we have been given to shoot around some of the most amazing landmarks and buildings available.

We woke around 6am to shoot over to Doncaster to catch the 7:45 train bound for Kings Cross, London where we had arranged to be picked up by Lisa & Rob in a classic Mini. Now this isn't just any ordinary Mini, this is a Mini from London's best sight-seeing tour Small Car BIG CITY. This company is owned by Rob & Lisa so we had the privilege of being transported around all day with the added sight-seeing tour knowledge thrown in as we passed London's finest sights. I'm quite a curious person myself so was firing off questions about nearly every building we passed which Rob knew the answer to. Great stuff!

Our first port of call was to be one of London's finest Hotels, The Rosewood Hotel. They had arranged for us to use the fantastic and quirky bar area more commonly known as "Scarfes Bar"

With large windows running down one side of the bar and an array of mixed furniture our creative juices were flowing. We had limited time but managed to shoot many images in a variety of ways.

As the clock struck eleven we needed to be on our way to the next location, Trinity House. Now I didn't really know much of Trinity House but had heard the name before. This beautiful building is the home of a charity dedicated to safeguarding shipping and seafarers which has been serving mariners since 1514. Amazing! Not only was this an amazing building but the artwork within was something spectacular. Given a choice of rooms we settled upon the largest, flanked by an original Elizabeth the 1st and Henry the 8th painting we set to work as seen below. Being given free reign and vip access to buildings is pretty much all a photographer could ask for.

Next off after a spot of lunch it was time to scale the height of the "Walkie Talkie" building and rise up to the "Sky Garden". After being searched  and scanned we headed up the lift to one of the most amazing views London has to offer. There is not really much more we can say apart from look at the shots below to get the best idea of how amazing it really is. It doesn't take much to get us excited anyway to this really got us going.

After these three locations we headed to Leadenhall Market for a little christmassy touch which is also very close to "The Gherkin" then followed by a Mini sight-seeing tour back to Kings Cross.

We both want to thank Lisa & Rob for such an amazing day and we can't wait to be shooting your wedding next year. Thank you for choosing us to be your wedding photographers.

Mel & Grace's Mosborough Hall, Sheffield Wedding Photography Blog.

Well, it seems a lifetime ago now since the wedding of Mel & Grace at Mosborough Hall in Sheffield. What a great day we had....... and we knew this was going to happen all along.

I've known Mel for a fair few years now and when they booked us as their wedding photographers we were pretty chuffed. To be asked to photograph any wedding is a total privilege and all the more special as an old friend.

We arrived at Mosborough Hall nice and early to grab some special preparation shots in both Mel & Grace's rooms making sure we shot all the important details capturing those candid moments. Both were pretty chilled out and couldn't wait to get the day started. Once dressed and ready they looked fantastic and made their way towards the Chatsworth room for their ceremony. As an extra surprise for their guest they had arranged a band to play their walk down the isle songs.

The ceremony was perfect with smiles and tears from the front to the back of the room and smiles were to carry on for the rest of the day.

We dropped lucky with the weather and cracked on with the group shots and Mel and Grace showed their true style by creating some fantastic personal shots.

The rest of the day went perfectly and we met so many of their fantastic family and friends who made us all feel unbelievably welcome but there was still one more event to come which was the first dance........ and did they pull it off.....or course and in style.

We both would like to wish Mel & Grace all the best for the future and a massive thanks again for choosing us to be your wedding photographers.

Josie & Bruce's Sledmere House, Driffield Wedding Photography Blog.

From the first moment we met a year ago we knew this was going to be one amazing wedding. Josie and Bruce knew exactly what they wanted from their wedding day and were prepared to put in the hard work to make it fantastic......and they certainly pulled it off.

They were to be married in the most amazing of venues, Sledmere House in Driffield East Yorkshire. The ceremony was to be held in the main Sledmere House then over the road to the barn for the wedding breakfast and evening reception. We were shown pictures of the barn before Josie and Bruce had put their mark on the place and to say they had their work cut out would be an understatement but in line with there vision and excitement they turned the place into something unforgettable.

We first met with Josie in her bridal preps. Always unsure how nervous a bride may be, we were met with a very calm and excited Josie. Herself and her bridesmaids getting their final hair and makeup touches  done while we shot away capturing some natural moments.

We had news that the boys had arrived so we shot over to get some great groomsman pics.Again all the groomsmen were in great spirits and it was great to meet them all. The wind was blowing a little heavy at this point but the skies were clearing. Today was going to be a good day!

Before we knew it, it was almost time for the ceremony. Guests were arriving and all systems were go. Bruce had the usual slight apprehensive look upon his face as he stood at the front of the ceremony room but as soon as he saw his wife to be, you could see him relax instantly.

The ceremony went without a hitch, apart from the "awful husband" incident!! but this only fuelled what was to be a great light hearted day. Leaving the ceremony room as husband and wife, in true Sledmere House tradition the confetti fell over them as they walked hand in hand down the beautiful staircase.

After group shots and making sure we got them some amazing bride and groom photography everyone headed over to the barn for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

The evening went perfect with the cutting of the cake and a first dance followed by the most amazing dance show.

So as we fully expected, Josie & Bruce pulled it off. One amazing day was had by everyone and we would like to thank Josie and Bruce for making us feel so welcome. Big congratulations to you both and we can't wait to see you both to get your album designed.

Larah & James' Walled Garden, Nottingham Wedding Photography Blog.

After meeting Larah and James earlier in the summer for an amazing engagement shoot in the Peak District, Derbyshire this was a wedding we were super excited about shooting!

We headed over to Larah's parents house in Nottingham to begin the day's bridal preps. We were greeted with a warm, friendly welcome by the bridal party. The house was beautiful and perfect for the bridal preps.

We then made our way to the venue. The Walled Garden, Nottingham. This little gem is such a stunning place and suited Larah and James's style just perfectly. The ceremony was lovely and our new Mr and Mrs were beaming. We spent plenty of time in the grounds which are completely private and so extensive. A true photographers dream! A little bit of wind and rain didn't seem to dampen anyone's spirits.

We were treated to a wonderful show performance by mind reader 'Looch' who wowed everyone.

As the evening came in we headed outside for a mini night shoot, captured the first dance and left our bride and groom to party the night away.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Hogg - Thank you for making us feel so welcome at your wedding.

Claire & Paul's Wortley Hall Wedding Photography Blog.

Last Month saw us shooting Claire & Paul's wedding at Wortley Hall, Barnsley, South Yorkshire. After their engagement shoot at Clifton Park Rotherham we knew they we're both going to be fantastic to work with.

After a bad week of weather it looked like Claire & Paul were going to drop on just right. A beautiful morning came as we made our way to the bridal room to meet Claire and get her some great bridal prep shots. Claire, her bridesmaids and 2 beautiful flower girls were all in great spirits and getting ready for the day.

Not long after, the boys arrived to make a few final preparations before the ceremony. Family & friends arrived and it wasn't long before the ceremony was underway. Everything went perfect and it was time to congratulate them both on the gorgeous frontage of Wortley Hall. After group shots it was time for them both to have a little wander with us to get some great personal shots. A 20 minute walk around the gardens gave us the chance to make some creative and wonderful images which they both took in their stride.

After their wedding breakfast and speeches it wasn't long until their evening guests started to arrive but not before we managed to get Claire & Paul out for a few moody evening shots.

Once again we would both like to thank Claire, Paul and all their family & friends for making us feel so welcome. Big congratulations to you both.

Sarah & Mark's Goldsborough Hall, Harrogate, Wedding Photography Blog.

Last week saw us shooting Sarah & Mark's wedding at Goldsborough Hall just outside Harrogate. Sarah & Mark who both live in Dubai had traveled over to tie the knot at one of the most fantastic venues around and had kindly chosen us for the job as their photographers.

The morning started at Rudding Park, a ten minute drive away from Goldsborough Hall where the girls had stayed the night and started their bridal preparations . We arrived to a great welcome from all and knew from then on the day was going to be great. We always say the key to wedding photography is a great relationship with bride and groom and also guests.

After shooting for a while at Rudding park we headed over to Goldsborough Hall to finish of the bridal preps and get our first meeting with Mark and his men.

On first arrival at the venue you are unable to comprehend the outstanding beauty  of the building and grounds. One of the most well maintained venues with the best attention to detail on every level. Its easy to understand why Sarah & Mark chose here.

We first met with a excited groom and wandered to the grounds for some shots of the men all looking fantastic. Back to the bridal suite for final bride preps then into the ceremony.

The ceremony went perfectly with much laughing a giggling all way through. You knew Sarah & Mark were perfect for each other.

After the ceremony we cracked on with their group shots and also had time for a wander round the gardens to get their personal images. This was a nice time to talk with them both about how they though the day was going so far and obviously it was going great.

After their wedding breakfast and speeches it was time to relax for an hour or two until the evening reception started. Everyone looked to be having the most amazing time at the most amazing venue with an amazing bride and groom, what more could anyone want.

Once again we would both like to thanks Sarah & Mark for choosing us to be their wedding photographers and a big congratulations again to you.

Big Love

Jennie & Lewis' Thoresby Courtyard Wedding Blog.

It was always going to be an exciting day photographing Jennie & Lewis' wedding. From the moment they booked with us we could see the vibrance and love between them both as well as their amazing choice of venue which was the Thoresby Courtyard, Nottinghamshire.

We first met with Jennie at her mums house near Wakefield. The house was buzzing with nerves and excitement but there wasn't any doubt that it was going to be a great day. Her three bridesmaids helping all the way as well as keeping the nerves at bay.

After shooting some preparations we headed off to the Clumber Hotel & Spa to finish off the preps and for Jennie to put on her dress. She looked amazing and couldn't wait to get the ceremony under way. We then headed off to Perlethorpe Church to have our first meeting with Lewis. As we pulled up to the church, Lewis and his groomsmen were first there to meet us and immediately we cracked on with some shots. Laughing most of the way through the groom and groomsmen shots we felt so comfortable and knew we were going to get the best images for them.

Jennie arrived at the church and the proceedings started. The ceremony was fantastic and the church allowed for some amazing shots.

After the ceremony we cracked on with the group shots with the amazing church as a backdrop then headed off for their bride and groom shots. The best way to get great wedding images is to be comfortable with your bride and groom and in this case they were amazing with us.

We headed off up to the Thoresby Courtyard to get our first viewing of the decor. You couldn't ask for more. The place looked fantastic and we knew the rest of the day was to be perfect. Jennie and Lewis heading in for their picnic wedding breakfast and we sat down to edit for the evening slideshow.

We met some great friends and family of Lewis & Jennie's and we are so great full for how they made us feel so welcome.

We both wish Lewis & Jennie all the best and we hope you're having an amazing time away.

Big thanks and congratulation again.

Your photographers.

Emily & Kingsleys Wedding Blog. Ryther Church, Yorkshire.

Emily & Kingsleys Wedding Blog. Ryther Church, Yorkshire.

So last Saturday saw us shooting Emily & Kingsley's wedding at Ryther Church, Yorkshire. The rest of the week had been pretty decent weather wise but the forecast didn't look too good for the day. Between heavy rain and strong winds were periods of blue sky and sun....very mixed. Taking this into consideration as we first met with Emily at her parents house for the bridal preps it was clear that the weather was just a minor issue and the real focus of the day was her marriage to Kingsley. We've known Emily & Kingsley for a few years and know what they mean to each other. A perfect match for a perfect couple.

In the ample garden a beautiful tipi decorated to perfection stood with room for many guests, a bar and of course a dance floor with the biggest disco ball we've ever seen. They had gone for a vintage rustic theme which suited them perfectly.

As the morning drew on it was time for Emily to put on her beautiful dress which was hand made by her mum. The perfect style for Emily and we were sure Kingsley was going to be amazed.

As a little {big} surprise Emily's parents had organised a horse drawn carriage for her to arrive in at the church. Fingers crossed it wasn't going to rain now as the journey was going to take a good 20 minutes to get there.

We headed off to the church to see Kingsley for the first time that day as was met with a beaming smile and someone who couldn't wait to see his bride. After a few groom and groomsmen shots we could see the horse and carriage heading down the quaint lane. Finally the ceremony was here and it went perfectly. Guest, family and friends all smiling to see the new happy couple.

It was time to head back to Emily's parents house for their barbecued tipi wedding breakfast, speeches and an evening for relaxing and catching up with family and friends. A brilliant end to a brilliant day.

We would both like to wish Emily & Kingsley all the best and a big congratulations again. Thank you for looking after us.
