Switching the north in place of an overseas destination, today’s featured couple, Steve and Keeley, left their Halifax home behind and headed across the pond to exchange their vows US style in the most iconic of American cities. From the getting-ready pictures against an unmistakeable backdrop of towering New York skyscrapers, to the bridesmaid dresses featuring the New York skyline on the skirt, everything about this wedding screams the Big Apple. If you’re going to have a destination wedding, might as well make it an epic one!
Steve and Keeley certainly made the most of their location, visiting famous landmarks like the Flatiron building and Grand Central Station to have their photographs taken and star in their own New York love story. After sunset, Keeley donned a pair of personalised Converse trainers and danced in Times Square for another unforgettable image to cherish.
They also took a slice of Huddersfield with them to New York, incorporating stars from the Huddersfield Town Crest into their theme and the Huddersfield Town blue, which Steve sports proudly in his handmade suit. At the end of the trip, the guests headed home with their own, personalised New York wine charms made by Keeley as a lovely memento of a day that will no doubt be etched on their memories for many years to come.
