If You're Not Having Fun, What's The Point?? Wedding Photography Goals.

We seem to see so many shots recently which take on the moody and romantic side of wedding photography which is totally ace and we certainly post these type of shots on our various social media and website but lets just for a moment bring a few smiling happy faces to our blog to cheer up the week. …………….

Our Quaint Little Elsecar Heritage Centre Studio. BLOG.

So we thought after being in our new{ish} office/studio since June last year we'd better show it off a little. Especially as we've now fully finished decorating and adding our stamp to the place. We really do feel like we've fallen on our feet by getting hold of this studio which really gives off the vibe we've always wanted which also matches our photography. This means style, quality and giving our bride and grooms peace of mind that they know they can always find us to discuss their day........

Jennie & Lewis' Yorkshire Sculpture Park Pre-Wedding Shoot Blog.

Yesterday saw us shooting Jennie & Lewis' pre-wedding shoot at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

It was great to see them both again as it seems ages since we last met at the time of them booking. We decided to meet at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and have a wander to find the best spots for their shots. The weather was a bit on and off with periods of blue skies then gloomy clouds which suits us perfect to get a nice range of images. As usual with our pre-shoots they were nervous to start with but before long they were into the swing of things.

Our pre-wedding shoots always give our couples a great idea of how we will be shooting on their big day but also gives us the opportunity to to discuss shots which they may or may not like.

Lewis and Jennie are a fun loving smiley couple who are just so excited to be getting married. We are thrilled to be your photographers and can't wait to be shooting your big day next month.

Yesterday saw us shooting Becky & Leon's pre-wedding shoot around the fields of Keppels Column. It was great to see them both as it seems such a long time ago since they decided to book with us. We really fell great with the weather and at times got a little too hot!! Summers coming!!!

They are to be married at Whitley Hall in June and we cant wait as we love shooting there. The opportunities for getting some great shots are plenty-full and we're sure we'll create some lasting memories for them both.

Here's a sneak peek.

Big thanks again to Becky & Leon and we'll see you on your big day!!

Today was the big day of Kim and Matt. We had been looking forward to shooting there big day as they are such a fun couple. The weather forecast was spot on today as we started the day with rain. We knew the sun was going to make an early afternoon appearance so this kept our spirits high! We arrived at Mosborough Hall first thing to meet with Kim and the bridal party to begin the bridal preps. Mosborough hall is a fabulous venue with so much to offer! With it's charm and unique qualities it makes the perfect wedding venue choice.                         Kim and the girls made us really feel welcome as we continued with the bridal preps and we had such a giggle with them. We shortly met with Matt and his groomsmen and got creative indoors due to the wet weather.

The ceremony took place in the Chatsworth building.  The building is stunning and is so secluded and private. Kim looked absolutely beautiful and you could almost hear gasps of excitement as she walked down the aisle to her groom. After the ceremony we headed outside to start with the group shots. The rain had stopped and everyone was enjoying the sun, drinks and canapes! We were thrilled to spend time with Kim and Matt creating some fantastic images around the grounds of Mosborough Hall. The guests headed inside to enjoy a three course wedding breakfast followed by the speeches. We were all mesmerized by magician Afro Magic who wowed everyone!

As the evening party started we managed a mini night shoot which we love to do as you can really start getting creative. We had such a fantastic day with Kim, Matt and all there family and friends. Thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome.

Zoe & Marc's Wedding at Wortley Hall. Barnsley Wedding Photography Blog.

Last Friday saw us shooting Zoe & Marc's wedding at Wortley Hall, Barnsley, South Yorkshire. After meeting the month before for their engagement shoot we knew they we're both going to be an amazing laid back couple. Their engagement shoot was shot around the Keppels Column area with the beautiful backdrop of Wentworth in the distance.

After a pretty miserable week of weather, Friday held out and proved to be just fine. A morning mist ascended over Wortley Hall but soon cleared as we made our way to the bridal suite to meet Zoe and get her some great bridal prep shots. Zoe, her bridesmaids and beautiful flower girl were all in great spirits and it wasn't long until Nic was doing some colouring-in with Zoe & Marc's daughter {and flower girl} Payton and cheeky son Toby.

Not long after, the boys arrived to make a few final preparations before the ceremony. Family & friends arrived and it wasn't long before the ceremony was underway. Everything went perfect and it was time to congratulate them both on the gorgeous frontage of Wortley Hall. After group shots it was time for them both to have a little wander with us to get some great personal shots. A 20 minute walk around the gardens gave us the chance to make some creative and wonderful images which they both took in their stride.

After their wedding breakfast and speeches it wasn't long until their evening guests started to arrive but not before we managed to get Marc & Zoe out for a few moody evening shots.

A Photo-booth and Caricaturist  were on order for the evening as well as a beautiful first dance.

Once again we would both like to thank Zoe, Marc and all their family & friends for making us feel so welcome. Big congratulations to you both.
