I remember the first time Natalie & Nicky got in touch and wanted to meet us to secure us for their wedding day. We met at our Elsecar Heritage Centre studio and both myself and Nic left the meeting feeling positive that we had just made a great wedding booking with two lovely people.
As always it wasn't long until the date of their pre-wedding shoot came round and we arranged to meet at Wentworth in Rotherham. The only problem was the crazy wind blowing Natalie's hair around but like troopers they carried on laughing all the way.
So again Sunday the 27th of August appeared and we were on our way to Mount Pleasant, Doncaster with what was a fantastic bright blue sky sort of day. Natalie was getting ready here and had stayed the night before so we wandered down to her room to a lovely greeting, showing no signs of nerves and ready for the big day.
We had warning the Nicky was on his way with his best man, heading down the M18 in their hired Aston Martin, Amazing! His groomsmen had been pre-warned that we were quickly going to nip off for a few shots for five minutes while Nic shot back to Natalie's room for those final getting ready images.
All the groomsmen were fantastic with us and Nicky led the way to what was going to be an outdoor ceremony, any photographers delight! We had the light and an amazing bride and groom, what more could we want.
The ceremony was fantastic, set in the beautiful secluded garden of Mount pleasant where it then led through to the venues next and much larger gardens for drinks and group shots. This is normally the first time that we start to meet many of their guests as we shot round capturing some candid moments full of fun and laughter.
The sun was still blazing as we headed off for Natalie & Nicky's personal shots where the opportunities were abundant. As well as the gardens we had the building it self and a huge field to the side which was slightly overgrown. We made the use of what time we had then headed in for speeches and their wedding breakfast.
The rest of the day went totally as planned. We even ventured out later with the bridesmaids and groomsmen for a little evening shoot which turned out fantastic as most was now well and truly relaxed for the evening and ready for a party!
We love shooting weddings and its our entire life. Every wedding is different, every bride and groom is different and we are lucky to have the most fantastic people book us for their big day. Nicky & Natalie are no exception to this and made our day shooting with them a dream.
