Kim & Matt's Mosborough Hall, Sheffield, Wedding Photography Blog.

Today was the big day of Kim and Matt. We had been looking forward to shooting there big day as they are such a fun couple. The weather forecast was spot on today as we started the day with rain. We knew the sun was going to make an early afternoon appearance so this kept our spirits high! We arrived at Mosborough Hall first thing to meet with Kim and the bridal party to begin the bridal preps. Mosborough hall is a fabulous venue with so much to offer! With it's charm and unique qualities it makes the perfect wedding venue choice.                         Kim and the girls made us really feel welcome as we continued with the bridal preps and we had such a giggle with them. We shortly met with Matt and his groomsmen and got creative indoors due to the wet weather.

The ceremony took place in the Chatsworth building.  The building is stunning and is so secluded and private. Kim looked absolutely beautiful and you could almost hear gasps of excitement as she walked down the aisle to her groom. After the ceremony we headed outside to start with the group shots. The rain had stopped and everyone was enjoying the sun, drinks and canapes! We were thrilled to spend time with Kim and Matt creating some fantastic images around the grounds of Mosborough Hall. The guests headed inside to enjoy a three course wedding breakfast followed by the speeches. We were all mesmerized by magician Afro Magic who wowed everyone!

As the evening party started we managed a mini night shoot which we love to do as you can really start getting creative. We had such a fantastic day with Kim, Matt and all there family and friends. Thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome.

Liz & Darron's Dronfield Wedding Photography Blog.

We were really excited to photographing the wedding of Liz and Darron. The pre wedding shoot at Keppels Column, Rotherham had been so much fun so we knew the wedding day was going to be fantastic.

The day started at Liz's parents house in Troway, Sheffield. the house was set in the beautiful countryside. We were greeted by warm, friendly smiles from Liz, daughter Olivia, bridesmaids and make up and hair team.

We headed over to St John's church, Dronfield, Sheffield to meet Darron and his groomsman. Everyone was in great spirits which set the feeling of the day!

The ceremony was stunning with plenty of laughter throughout . We headed outside the church to take our group shots. We luckily escaped any downpours of rain. Phew!

The reception was held at Hallowes Golf Club, Dronfield, Sheffield. By now the weather had started to turn quite nasty as forecast. This didn't stop the happy couple from having an amazing time and chatting to there many guests.

We waited until after the wedding breakfast to take Liz and Darron outside for a night shoot. The rain had eased so we managed to get some stunning, romantic shots.

It does goes to show that a bit of rain certainly doesn't spoil the day!

Big congratulations to Liz and Darron. We wish you a fantastic time away in London!

We had a great day shooting at Zoe & Dan's wedding. We started off the bridal preps within one of Ringwood Hall's most amazing four poster rooms, capturing all the details we normally would including Zoe's dress, shoes, flowers and jewellery as well as all her preps. The Renishaw Suite has more than its fair share of beautiful places to get the great shots needed.

Once the groomsmen had arrived we made way to the back garden for some tasty back lit group and individual shots of the boys then quickly made sure we were back inside for the ceremony.

The ceremony room just off the reception is one of the more intimate rooms in Ringwood Hall but has all the glory of its original features and beautiful decor. The ceremony was perfect with many tears, laughter and great readings from friends and family.

After the ceremony the guests retreated to the back garden for congratulations and group shots. The weather was fine with blue but slightly hazy skies which led us to get some great shots of Zoe & Dan in the glorious grounds.

After their wedding breakfast followed the speeches then onto the evening reception where more guests arrived to be entertained by the fabulous Vernon Sisters and of course the all important first dance.

We had the most amazing day with Zoe, Dan and their family and friends and would like to say once again, big big congratulations to you both.

Thanks again.

Liz & Mark's Engagement Shoot & Brimham Rocks, North Yorkshire.

It was great to be shooting Liz & Mark's engagement shoot at Brimham Rocks in North Yorkshire. Liz is friend of mine who I've known for a few years now so it was a great honour when they asked us to be their wedding photographers. Also as we are shooting a friends wedding this also means that we get to stay after their wedding and party the night with them. What more could we want!

We arranged to meet at a beautiful location about 20 minutes outside of Harrogate at a place called Brimham Rocks. High in the hills the setting is perfect to get some great shots. As we arrived we noticed it was quite busy so decided to venture off course and away from the masses. The shots worked out great and Liz & Mark were fantastic from start to finish. It was great to catch up with Liz who I've not seen for a while so we had plenty to talk about.

Once again, big big thanks for booking us to be your wedding photographers and we cant wait for your big day.

Zoe & Marc's Wedding at Wortley Hall. Barnsley Wedding Photography Blog.

Last Friday saw us shooting Zoe & Marc's wedding at Wortley Hall, Barnsley, South Yorkshire. After meeting the month before for their engagement shoot we knew they we're both going to be an amazing laid back couple. Their engagement shoot was shot around the Keppels Column area with the beautiful backdrop of Wentworth in the distance.

After a pretty miserable week of weather, Friday held out and proved to be just fine. A morning mist ascended over Wortley Hall but soon cleared as we made our way to the bridal suite to meet Zoe and get her some great bridal prep shots. Zoe, her bridesmaids and beautiful flower girl were all in great spirits and it wasn't long until Nic was doing some colouring-in with Zoe & Marc's daughter {and flower girl} Payton and cheeky son Toby.

Not long after, the boys arrived to make a few final preparations before the ceremony. Family & friends arrived and it wasn't long before the ceremony was underway. Everything went perfect and it was time to congratulate them both on the gorgeous frontage of Wortley Hall. After group shots it was time for them both to have a little wander with us to get some great personal shots. A 20 minute walk around the gardens gave us the chance to make some creative and wonderful images which they both took in their stride.

After their wedding breakfast and speeches it wasn't long until their evening guests started to arrive but not before we managed to get Marc & Zoe out for a few moody evening shots.

A Photo-booth and Caricaturist  were on order for the evening as well as a beautiful first dance.

Once again we would both like to thank Zoe, Marc and all their family & friends for making us feel so welcome. Big congratulations to you both.

"I'm up to my knee's in cow pat"

As the wedding of Carys & Nick draws ever closer it was time for their engagement shoot. After a few email exchanges on where this should take place, we figured the obvious solution was on their farm!!!

What a better opportunity would there be to get some amazing shots but on a farm in Rotherham. To start with we had no idea of what the farm looked like but pretty much knew that we'd be entering into something quite rustic and loaded with character......and we weren't disappointed. The sign outside said "Local Honey" and a further board tucked round the corner advertising to get your turkey ordered for Christmas. Brilliant!! We knew we'd picked the right place to hold their engagement shoot. Carys & Nick are the most laid back friendly people you could wish to meet and conversation was always flowing {sometimes a little too much} but before we got cracking on with the shots we needed a bit of a tour. It was like being back in school again. Cows and other farm yard animals greeted us just around the other side of the farm and after a quick stroke we finally got our cameras out.

Nick & Carys took to it like a duck to water as so did the cows in the cow shed {see below}

After we finished shooting round the farm we decided little trip into one of the fields would be a good idea making use of the hay and beautiful surroundings.

Big thanks again to Carys & Nick for making it an amazing shoot and a big thanks to the cows for not killing us too. Especially you 118. We're really looking forward to being your wedding photographers and we're going to get you some great shots.

Helen & Simon, Hazlewood Castle Wedding Photography.

Hello All.

November saw us shooting at Hazlewood Castle near York. An overcast cold day provided a moody backdrop to one of Yorkshires most romantic wedding venues.

Helen & Simon had an amazing day planned and included an evening surprise for their guests.

We started off our day with Helen for her bridal preps. Her gorgeous dress hung on the mirror was all we needed to start our detailed shots. All bridesmaids were ready for action and did a great job of keeping Helen calm. As well as the bridal preps we also visited the grooms room to also get some boys preps. The dress reveal to the father of the bride was soon to follow which gave some great shots on the antique staircase. A pre-planned holding of hands round a corner  proved to be a magical moment. All silent with grinning from ear to ear from both bride and groom.

The ceremony included all of around 20 guests in one of Hazlewood Castles most magical rooms. A reading from their little boy Alfie was perfect too.

After the ceremony we managed a great confetti shot in front of the main building then off for the bride and grooms personal images. Although cold and windy the excitement still grew for the chance to create some great memories for them both.

After speeches and cake cutting it was time to welcome their evening guests for their evening blessing which was to take place in Hazlewood Castles very own adjoined chapel at 19:15.

With over a hundred evening guests having arrived the blessing went with a bang. An amazing vicar gave us the run of the chapel to shoot as we wished, even calling us to the very front to make sure we got the kissing shot.

The rest of the night was perfect and we both would like to wish Helen & Simon all the best for their future and a big thank you for making us feel so welcome all day.

Congratulations to you both.

Nick & Nic.

Our New Studio. Elsecar Heritage Center Wedding Photographers.

We decided a couple of days ago to go and visit where our new studio is going to be. We've now had a confirmation date as to when we are going to be in Elsecar Heritage Center. We are hoping for the 18th of April but then obviously we need a little time to get it sorted and get it looking top notch. At the moment the outside needs a good clearing and all the bins will be gone too but this will all be sorted for our move in date.

I'll also note that some of the shots taken here are by our boys Olen & William. I think they may be coming round to the idea of joining the family business when they're older.

We are really excited about getting into our new studio as we have many new plans, ideas and ventures we want to start all mainly aimed at giving our bride and grooms the best wedding photography ever!

We hope once we're in and set up you'll pop down and let us make you a cuppa.

Wedding Photography in Rotherham & Sheffield, Yorkshire.

We were both super excited to be shooting the wedding of Nicola and Dean. Both Nicola and Dean are a lovely couple so we knew we were in for a fantastic day. We started the day with a few down pours of rain but as usual that never spoils the day. The ceremony took place at St Mary's Church, Rawmarsh, Rotherham, South Yorkshire. A gorgeous setting to say the least and our bride and groom both  looked amazing.  After the ceremony we headed to Rotherham Gold club, Rotherham, South Yorkshire. A beautiful wedding venue with delightful staff and great surroundings.  We made use of the extensive grounds throughout the day to capture some great shots of the new Mr & Mrs. What a brilliant wedding to be a part of! Thank you Mr and Mrs Ransford.

Wortley Hall Wedding Photography.

After searching through our countless hard-drives for a specific image I stumbled across this shot from a wedding nearly 5 years ago. Sarah & Adrian's wedding were one of the first we shot at Wortley Hall in Sheffield/Rotherham and it certainly wasn't going to be the last. Since then we have shot countless amounts of weddings the and still have many booked in for the next couple of years. Suits us down to the ground as it has everything a wedding photographer would need to get their creative juices flowing. We both love this shot and have used it for a lot of our marketing as well as a front cover for our own Wortley Hall Graphi Studio wedding album.

There we go. Just though we'd share that with you.
