Francesca and Nick's New Year's Eve wedding at Hornington Manor
Venue: Hornington Manor
It’s always really nice to shoot a wedding at a venue we have not shot at before, and to make Francesca & Nick’s wedding at Hornington Manor near York even more special, it was New Year’s Eve!
We always get booked up pretty quickly for New Year’s Eve weddings, and it was great to meet at the venue a month or so before to have a peek around.
We had a good chat with Francesca & Nick beforehand about making sure we got some epic shots of them both after their ceremony, as we were once again fighting against the light. Quite exciting really, and Francesca & Nick were more than up for cracking on.
A crisp winter’s day at Hornington Manor
We started the crisp but sunny winter’s day at Hornington Manor, where both the bride and groom were getting ready. They were their usual happy and laid-back selves, more concerned that we had everything we needed to crack on with our day’s shooting. Brilliant, and we couldn’t ask for more. We were also made to feel so welcome by their family and friends.
After the morning prep photography, most guests were ushered into the gorgeous barn ceremony room, and the ceremony went ahead perfectly, with smiles and laughter all round.
As the sun set over the front of Hornington Manor, we grabbed the shots we needed with Francesca & Nick, then watched the wedding breakfast and evening reception play out in perfect fashion.
We’d like to say a massive thank you to Francesca & Nick for asking us to be their wedding photographers, and a big congratulations to you both too.
A big shout-out also goes to all the staff at Hornington Manor, who made us feel so welcome from start to finish. They’ve got an amazing thing going on here. Ace venue.
Big thanks and big love
