We’re Nick & Nic

A cheeky boy from Rotherham and the most organised woman in Yorkshire. Married, business partners, best friends — and the two people who will be by your side all day.

Our story

Nearly twenty years, more than 800 weddings

Photogenick started in Rotherham in 2007. Next year marks 20 years of shooting weddings — yeah, we can’t believe it either, and we’re only 25 (cough cough).

We began with local weddings in Sheffield and Rotherham and never really stopped: Wortley Hall, Whitley Hall, Wentworth Woodhouse, Hodsock Priory, then London, Manchester, Guernsey, Ireland, Wales, Ibiza and New York. We have shot our own wedding too (December 2015, tripod and timer in Clifton Park, bitterly cold, loved every second).

We rarely advertise or attend wedding fairs: around 95% of our couples find us through word of mouth and venue recommendations, and we are usually booking two to three years in advance. We are the recommended photographers at Whitley Hall Hotel, Bawtry Hall, Bowcliffe Hall, Hodsock Priory and Wentbridge House Hotel. Our work has been featured on Brides Up North and we are International Wedding Tale 1st Collection award winners.

How we work

Relaxed, natural, and never intrusive

99% of our couples tell us they hate having their picture taken — and we get it. We don’t pose you. We put you at ease, read the room, and capture the natural moments when you and your guests least expect it. Couples tell us it feels more like having two friends at the wedding than photographers.

Our style is a mix of candid, contemporary and natural photography, finished with editing we have refined over two decades. We shoot on top-of-the-range Canon equipment, we are fully insured, and your images are online within two weeks.

We book two to three years ahead and only shoot around 50 weddings a year, so the earlier you ask the better. Send us your date and venue and we’ll come straight back to you.
