This hidden gem of a hotel in Manchester city centre was the perfect setting for Gatty & Dean’s wedding. Having never shot at the Great John Street Hotel before, we made the trip over the night before to scout out the area and suss out all the best spots for shooting. This hotel really has all the attention to detail and luxury you’d ever want.
The next morning we met Gatty in the most gorgeous of rooms as she prepared for the day ahead. She was in such great spirits and so welcoming to us both, and we had the beautiful backdrop of the hotel room for shooting the dress, the details and the hair and makeup preps.
Before long Dean arrived with his groomsmen, and we headed outside to take in the many surrounding spots we could use for their shots, before heading back to prepare for the ceremony. This went perfectly, of course, with all their guests present, and it was followed by a Chinese tea ceremony.
The rest of the day was fantastic, with Gatty & Dean more than happy to explore further afield around the hotel to create some stunning wedding photography, and much more fun followed later.
