Laura and Andy's wedding at Ackworth Church and Wentworth Woodhouse

Like most weddings we shoot, Laura & Andy’s had been booked for a while, and the time was finally here: a ceremony at Ackworth Church, then on to Wentworth Woodhouse near Rotherham.

We’d been really looking forward to shooting their day, as they are such an epic couple who were up for having a cracking time.

Bridal preps and Ackworth Church

We first met Laura at her parents’ house for her bridal preps and soon got to know her bridesmaids too. They seemed so much fun that we knew they’d be up for a laugh with some shots later on.

Before long, after a great shot of the father of the bride seeing Laura in her dress for the first time, we headed up to Ackworth Church to meet the guys… all seven of them! Of course they were in great spirits, and every one of them was brilliant with us. Andy was as cool as anything, with not a sign of nerves to be seen.

After a few groomsmen shots, Laura arrived with her dad in a beautiful wedding car, and the ceremony kicked off and went perfectly.

After the ceremony it was time for a few group shots and the all-important confetti shot, then into the cars for the 20 minute drive to the fabulous Wentworth Woodhouse.

We’ve shot at Wentworth Woodhouse a fair few times now, and it’s always great to see the fabulous staff there, who let us roam the house and grounds to create some epic wedding photography of Laura & Andy. This is the place to do it!

After the wedding breakfast and speeches, it was chill-out time for everyone, and, as mentioned earlier, a couple of fun shots with the bridesmaids and groomsmen, which they absolutely nailed!

You can’t escape a wedding with us without a bit of a night shoot, and what better place to do it? Laura looked stunning in the late evening in front of the building, and we finished with a cracking staircase shot.

All in all, we had a brilliant day, and we know Laura & Andy did too.
