Liz and Darron's wedding in Dronfield, near Sheffield

We were really excited to be photographing Liz and Darron’s wedding in Dronfield, near Sheffield. Their pre-wedding shoot at Keppel’s Column in Rotherham had been so much fun that we knew the wedding day was going to be fantastic.

The day started at Liz’s parents’ house in Troway, Sheffield, set in beautiful countryside. We were greeted by warm, friendly smiles from Liz, her daughter Olivia, the bridesmaids and the make-up and hair team.

St John’s Church, Dronfield

We headed over to St John’s Church in Dronfield, Sheffield, to meet Darron and his groomsmen. Everyone was in great spirits, which set the feeling for the day!

The ceremony was stunning, with plenty of laughter throughout. We headed outside the church to take our group shots and luckily escaped any downpours. Phew!

The reception at Hallowes Golf Club

The reception was held at Hallowes Golf Club in Dronfield. By now the weather had started to turn quite nasty, as forecast, but that didn’t stop the happy couple having an amazing time and chatting to their many guests.

We waited until after the wedding breakfast to take Liz and Darron outside for a night shoot. The rain had eased, so we managed to get some stunning, romantic shots.

It just goes to show that a bit of rain certainly doesn’t spoil the day!
